You have a great pistol with a solid 20 year reputation and you love it. I don't think you need other input unless you just want to start second guessing yourself for some reason which always seems popular on the forums.;)

One of the finest handguns ever made.

The stock sights are usually the first thing to go on many people's G19. The third gen finger groves are fussy for some hands. IMO the factory mag release sucks, but that's where the Tango Down Vickers Tactical extended unit comes into play...

other than that, brilliant piece. Very happy with mine.

Many pages of discussion on the G19 itself, and in comparison/contrast to others.

The G19 tends to be alot of peoples go to gun on this forum. I have a Gen 2 and would highly recommend it. I'm picking up my S&W M&P 9mm today as I want to compare the 2 and see which platform will work out best for me. Try doing a search and you'll come up with tons of info.

I tried typing in Glock19 under the search but didnt come up with much of anything. I do like hearing other peoples opinions.

Just put Glock in the search under the handgun section and you'll find plenty of stuff about the G19. Unfortunately most forum search engines suck because they won't allow you to use short search terms like "G19". ;)

I really need to buy a Glock 19. I just can't justify it at this time. :(

I've been running the same Gen.2 G19 for almost 16 years now.I've had one bobble with it.One. A Blazer alum case round. I only just recently replaced the recoil spring. (yeah,I know but it has been an ongoing toughness trial.)
I have no round count figure but I think a close estimate would be around 75-80k rounds. I've had other Glocks.29,30,27,26,etc.and still have some, but the G19 and a 1911 is really all I care to shoot anymore. I just really don't want anything else.
It looks like it's been through the Boer wars so refinishing may be in order soon. Roguard.

You cant go wrong with a G19.

Ive owned every generation of the G19 so far and have no complaints.

Mid-sized so it conceals easily, yet large enough to be a duty weapon if need be.

One of the most popular carry guns ever. I love mine. Easy to use and carry. Relatively light weight. Just a really great weapon.

Has anyone else gotten a lot of brass in the face from this gun? My G17 (3) don't have the issue. But whenever I have owned a G19 I have gotten a few dents in my glasses.:D

I have had all kinds of pistols from custom 45s ,Colt, Les Baer to Sigs, Berettas, XD, etc. I have settled on the 9mm caliber and the Glock 19 . Overall it has proven to be reliable, durable , concealable ,good mag capacity, easy to maintain , reasonably priced and has good accuracy. For me the Glock 19 grip ergonomics are better than the full size model 17 and it points a little better. That being said I have two S&W M&P (PT limited run) 9mm pistols on order. Where the Glock falls a little short for me in the ergonomics department the M&P 9MM/40 fullsize feel great.

I own one Glock, but have owned others.

The one I own is the Glock 19. I used to think that it was the one to have if you could own only one Block. I will admit to not drinking from the Glock Kool-Aid glass. The recent ammunition shortage has changed my opinion somewhat as to which model of Glock is the one to own.

If I was to buy a new Glock today, and I have no plans to, it would be a Glock 23 or 32. The reason for that is the ability to shoot two other calibers out of one gun with minimal exspense.

Buy a Glock 23 and drop in a 32 Barrel and you can shoot 357 Sig out of the same gun, using the 23's magazines. If you buy a 19 Barrel and magazines you can shoot 9mm out of the 23 or 32. This versatility is a huge plus in my book given the difficulty in finding ammunition for sale.

I don't think this ammunition shortage will last forever, and I have enough ammo to get me by until next year, as I keep a fair bit of ammo on hand for my various carry guns. So, IMHO, the one Glock to own is a 23 or a 32 for it's versatility.

Sounds like you already have the answer as shown by previous posts.

GLOCK 19 its like the powerstroke diesel it just keeps going, Built like a tank.

G19 is all you will ever have to buy.

Whatever you get i would go with a GLOCK they are very reliable, The G19 is one hell of a gun.

I carry a G19 and think it is the perfect ccw gun.

GLOCK19 AND A SMITH M&P15 MAKE A PERFECT COMBO.

Anybody own a glock 19, i have heard all good about them so far, Everybody seems to like them, I have been thinking about getting one for ccw whats your thoughts and experiences with them.

I am looking to buy a ccw gun and didnt know which one to buy the 19 or 27.

So, is all this really necessary? These threads you started didn't answer your questions? It really required a fourth? Really?

I have had one for about 20 years. I'm on my second set of factory NS. I currently have CTC LG's on it. I think that it s an excellent blaster. I subscribe to the school of thought that the 9mm's are the best Glocks (19, 26, & 34). My G17 equivalent is a G31 with a 9mm Lone Wolf conversion barrel. I've carried the G19 the most and it continues to be my first choice in Glocks.

I think that the only place where Glock has missed the boat is as far as ergonomics is concerned. I'd prefer a 1911 or MP grip angle, but can live with the Glock. Parts and magazines are readily available. And, most reasonable competent people can detail strip one and get it back together with the proper documentation. The one time I took my MP apart, it was a little bit of a challenge to get it back together.
