Identify This Round

I took a chance and bought a thousand rounds of this. It was bulk packed in plastic and in a small ammo can. I was told it was 5.56 and 55 grain.

The gun store I bought them in was in an uproar as they were loading trailers for a local gun show.

Perhaps some of you who have seen this stamp might know what manufacturer it is. Sure isn't Lake City Federal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well if I followed normal logic M193 would mean that it is a 55gr. ball round. 08 would more than likely indicate the year of production. Other than that there isn't alot of information there.

Looks sorta like the Centurion stuff that I bought earlier this year. 55gr 5.56

Yup! That's what it turned out to be "Centurion". I'm told that it's .223 not 5.56

Well. For the price 170.00 for 500 pack, that ain't bad for target shooting ammo.
