The American Confederation of Tactical Shooters (www.actshooters.com) is gearing up for their annual prize match - the "Combat Rifle Championship."

It is held at Centerline of Calhoun County:

This year's Combat Rifle Championship will be held July 11 and 12 2009. The match fee will be $60. This match is only open to ACTS members, so non-members will have to join in order to shoot this match (1 year membership: $30). A portion of proceeds from this match will be used to make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.

A dinner will be served Saturday evening, prices TBD. Camping will be available for $5 per person per night.

Number of stages will be 9: 6 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. Round count TBD.

Shooters are encouraged to register early. Walk-on registrations will be accepted, however match fees increase to $85 for walk-on registration.

Everyone can..we're willing to share the format. Currently, its used in AZ and MI..but easy enough to get set up as long as you can find a range to work with.

As luck would have it, I'll be on my Stateside leave rotation during that time. Chances are I'll be there, maybe with Lola the Wonder Dog aka the Bulgarian Shepherd in tow.

That condenses my thoughts on the CRC very nicely. Thanks for the generous contribution to the prize table. My reamer arrived today. :cool:

By the way, here is a guy with a very nice hat perforating bad guys with a 5.45 AR while moving at a barely perceptible shuffle to the next piece of cover. ;)

Team Estrogen kicked my ass. :eek: I am going to be pushing for a Comic Relief Division next CRC. Then I can round up a half dozen or so bufoons to be in my division and be their leader.
