What Glock connector/spring setup do you prefer?

What about for duty/ccw?

I like the NYPD package myself. Trigger break is crisp at about eight lbs. We did both of my wife's Glocks (G27, G19) this way.

For my off duty carry pistol:

Lone Wolf 3.5 connector, Wolff reduced power safety block spring, extra power trigger spring, factory striker spring and striker. Thousands of rounds with zero issues.

My competition G34, I'm running a LWD 3.5# connector, Wolff "Trigger Group Competition Pak" (Brownells P/N: 969-000-177), polished internals and factory everything else (except the sights)

The G19 I just picked up was used with 1k rounds through it and polished internals. I'm gonna replace all the springs with new factory springs and the LWD 3.5# connector then run the heck out of it.

I just leave my Glocks stock. I tried the different connectors and springs and so forth, but ultimately I just wanted to learn to use the stock Glock trigger.

Glock factory 3.5lb connector and leave everything else alone.

One of mine is stock and the other is 3.5# / NY1.

I prefer the NY1 trigger spring mated with a Ghost Rocket trigger connector. Smooth resistance with no over travel, and a quick positive trigger reset.

First choice: ~3.5# connector, NY1 spring.

Second chocie: Older black NY spring, perferably well used.

OEM components only. No aftermarket. No exceptions.

All my Glocks have the NY-1 trigger spring and an OEM 3.5# connector.

I had a G23 a while back that broke 2 standard trigger springs. I have found the coil spring set up of the NY-1 spring module to be much more durable. When I switched to the NY-1 I wanted to offset the additional weight so I installed 3.5# connectors. I have been very pleased with this set up for the last 4 years.

The NY-1 gives a more consistent and even feel when you are taking up the slack in the trigger. It gives even resistance through the travel of the trigger. You can just barely feel the break when you hit the lighter connector. The beauty of this set up becomes apparent after the first shot. The NY-1 resets the trigger very quickly and very positively. There is a very tactile "click" when the trigger resets which makes it very easy to shoot from the reset position.

I am not sure how much difference my splits would show but, at least in my head, my follow ups are faster with this set up. Even if they aren't faster, I am much more confident in shooting from the reset position. Plus, when shooting from the reset, you don't really notice the extra weight from the NY-1, it just feels like you only have to overcome the 3.5# connector.

Yep. Only trigger mod I make is to swap out the serrated trigger on the 19 for the smooth trigger from the 17. I'm good with the factory pull.

I'm happy with the factory five n' a half pounder on my G19.

Same here. I've tried them all and settled on the stock setup. But I do put in smooth triggers if they are serrated, like on my 19s.

3.5# / NY1 goes into all my Glocks.

Stock trigger spring combo... hard to beat the reliability and simplicity of the factory stuff...

Stock or a 3.5# Connector/ NY1 Combo.

That's for my own personal use. For general issue I prefer either Stock or a 5.5# Connector/NY1 Combo. If you qualify at 90% or better then you can have the 3.5# Connector/NY1 Combo.

Yeah, I'm a bit of an "elitist". :D

I was running a 3.5#/NY1 Combo for the last four years and just went back to Stock.

Standard factory connector and NY1 spring.

Like skintop says, I won't use the non-factory stuff.

Every Glock I buy gets Warren sights, 3.5# factory connector, and smooth-face G17 trigger (if the gun isn't already a G17;))

In my G17, G19 and G21: Battleship gray standard trigger spring, standard 5.5 lb connector.

In my G34, NY1 spring, 4.5 lb connector; I like the more defined reset point provided by the NY1 with the 4.5 connector (with its slightly faster reset due to its shallower angle).

As has been mentioned before, after sending 1,000 rounds through a given Glock, there isn't much perceptual triggerpull weight difference between guns with a 4.5 lb and a 5.5 lb connector-but the reset points are different.

Best, Jon

For my carry guns, I just polish the stock parts. For my play guns, polished 3.5 connector, g17 smooth trigger, heavy trigger spring, light striker spring.

I spent all last week with our mutual vertically challenged buddy and we discussed at length how much that trigger set up helped him learn proper technique. His current G22 with 5.5# trigger is laughably easy to shoot in comparison.

you know Todd i shoot the heavier triggger guns better than a lighter trigger. for example i had to put a NY1 trig. in my g34 becausr the stock was to light and i was all over the place. i really like the 3.5 con. with the NY1 spring.

Not at all surprised. People always just assume lighter is better, but there's so much more to a good trigger pull than simply trigger weight.

Ghost 3.5 Ultimate with Olive NY1 and non-serrated trigger. I learned about the NY1/3.5 combo here.

All of my Glocks to include my G19 here are equipped with 3.5 connectors and NY1 trigger springs.

How exactly do these modifications change the weapon? I assume a 3.5 connector and NY1 spring increases pull weight, but smooths trigger squeeze throughout the pull....?

i'm brand new to glocks.
