I need a new set of Electronic Hearing Muffs. I will be using them for a few trainings im going to, plus when I sight in my .300. I would like to stay under $100. I live in Oregon, so something water resistant is a plus. Im looking at the following but will consider other opinions.

Peltor Tactical Sports - $90 (http://www.mp-store.com/product_info.php?cPath=36&products_id=148)
Peltor Tactical 6 - $65 (https://www.northwest-tactical.com/displayProductDocument.hg?productId=38&sourceCode=froogle)
Radian Pro-Amp - $60 (http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/RAD600-1237-966.html)

Thanks.

I've been using the Tactical 6 ones for a couple of years now and been pretty happy with them.

I asked a while back and heard some praise for the Tac-sports and complaints on the Tac-6s. I've heard complaints about the water resistance of the 6s in my research elsewhere too. There are some threads at Lightfighter.net about ear pro as well.

I still haven't taken the plunge yet, so no feedback on any one model from me.

Just want to mention that you might want to make sure the model you buy takes AAA or other easy-to-find batteries. I have a set that I wasted money on because they take some bizarre batteries that I can't find anywhere.

And if you sweat a lot, you want the battery compartment and electronics isolated to prevent corrosion. I have ruined a couple of pairs of Peltors because the batteries/circuits got wet from sweat passing through the foam.

Guys, it's a question of getting rid of as much moisture as you can during down time. If you've just used your ears in the rain or think you sweat to much, remove the ear seals and foam and let the ears sit for a short bit of time.

This has been recommended by almost all manufacturers but no one seems to take heed. It helps prolong the life of your ears, trust me. I shoot in wet weather conditions all the time. This time of the year I can be shooting in monsoon type weather in Asia and the ears will work but when I get back to the hotel, I let the electronics dry out.
