View Full Version : HK P30 Frame Rail Question?

Is it common for the polymer surrounding the forward frame rails to chip away at the top? Curious, I have a new P30 that has 500-rounds and just noticed some mild chipping at the top, just beside the exposed forward slide rail.

Yes. Normal.

The plastic is pretty thin at the edges of the steel subframe. Deeper cracking is not normal.

Its normal, my KE dated USP has done this but its had a bunch more rounds through it, closer to 5K than 500 LOL

Yes.

On my HK USP .40 S&W and HK45 both pistols had small flakes of plastic coming off of the frame around the metal inserts for the first couple hundred rounds. Once you get more rounds through the pistol it won't happen any further.
