Why is it called the M41000?

Is it somehow a step back from the M42000?

It is a lower model than the 2007 M4-2000 in that it does not have an Inconel 718 blast baffle, it is not as light. It does not have an EDM bore, and it does not have the new mount that is on the 2007 M4-2000. It has the mount from the 2006 M4-2000. It does not have 316SS construction.

However it is still all CNC welded, super durable, 304 stainless can (304 is what AWC, SWR, Gemtech, Ops uses). Extreme marine-corrosion resistance. All of the main features that made the 2006 and earlier M4-2000 great.

According to the guy I talked to at the AAC booth, it's basically a lower-priced can for the hobby shooter. Not a bad idea at all really, especially considering their ever-increasing cost on their other cans.

Robert, you should have just stuck all the "new from AAC" posts in one thread to make it easier to figure out where to talk about them.:p BTW, I like your .45 can design. The offset baffle thing is really nice, and it feels good on the end of the pistol.

I was going to say the same thing...

You ended up pushing a lot of threads down off of the first page and sooner or later, your less popular threads will REALLY fall to the last pages. Had you put them all in one thread, you'd stand a high chance of ALL of your products being seen much more often.

That 416 suppressor will probably disappear really quick unless the thread fills with people bitching about H&K or saying that 99% of us will never need an H&K 416 suppressor.

Just thought it would be best to keep each discussion about one topic but since there is not a lot of posting it might have been better in one.

Is it full auto rated?

Yes, very much so. I cannot tell you guys enough to run and buy this can. You will be thrilled. Because of the new robot CNC welder and assembly, it is stronger than a 2006 M4-2000. This can is NOT CRIPPLED. It is stronger and lighter than more expensive cans from other makers. I would be so bold and say it is the BEST can overall from any maker aside from an M4-2000 or AAC SPR/M4. That includes $800, $1200 and $1500 models from other makers. I kid you not. If you run it though its paces you will see.

I stopped by the AAC booth at SHOT 3 times but they were way too busy, I wanted to ask why my two M4-2000 are shooting loose. Usually less than 10 rounds and they'll be 1 click loose.

I did look at the M4-1000 and the coolest thing there was the M240 with a suppressor mounted on it.

I found it interesting that they have maintained all this time that their old-style mount doesn't shoot loose yet they added a push-button release/lock to the new models to..... keep them from shooting loose?

If they admitted there was a problem then they would have to replace a bunch of cans and mounts.

How many rounds before it is two clicks loose?

This mount was not designed to fix any problem. We had to do it for the SPR/M4 and SCAR-H cans because of the 5-start threaded ultra-fast pitch. We then decided to offer a shorter and longer conventional can with the same mount in case some customer or country preferred it. We are keeping the SCAR-SD with the other mount for FN and in the M4-1000.

I haven't let it shoot 2 click loose, I figured by that point it might have a baffle strike.

Tell me if it ever goes two clicks (or even one full click) as that would be indicative of a problem and would mean AAC should send you a new spring.

I think it would take 10-15 clicks to have a baffle strike.
