Most important things in the range box: ear foamies. So much so that I started getting extra packs to stick in the car in case I don't bring my range box.

Stuff you didn't list that's in my range box:

Bore snakes, mini hammer, punches, Leatherman Super Tool, cheap cleaning rod for clearing stuck cases, white paint pen, black paint pen, Sharpie, tape, AA & AAA batteries, stainless/brass/nylon brushes, Q-Tips, select spare parts (springs, firing pin retaining pins, Glock takedown levers, etc), tweezers, pen & index cards (index cards double as improvised targets when I forget to bring them), snap caps, Loctite (blue), lighter, metric & standard Allen sets.

It's a pretty good range box. If I've got it with me, I can solve most of the problems I or my friends run into at the range.

I use this one, without the stupid arms for holding a rifle. They suck.

naaah.. they're just taking up space. I clean at home. the basic cleaning kit would include tools that will field strip your weapon. I don't go to the range to fully strip my gun. I go to the range to shoot and shoot and shoot:D

LOL! Seriously though, I have a gunsmith screwdriver set, thread locker, Leatherman tool, .22 cleaning kit, can of CLP, mechanics towel, ear muffs for me & foamies for friends, chamber flags, & a cheap Chinese spotting scope. A staple gun in going in before my next trip.

you guys should get a $20 hammer-tacker from home depot.. work a lot better/faster/easier than staple guns. won't work on cardboard backing, though.

I decided to split out my range bag into two separate bags. My criteria: if I would take it to both a training class *and* the static range, it goes in my range bag. If I would *only* take it to the static range, I put it in the other bag.

So one bag contains the stapler, staples, target pasters, tape measure, Sharpies and other crap like that, streamlining my range bag for what I consider more essential items. They both sit side-by-side and are stocked so I can just grab them.

that's basically what i've got, as well.. i've got an ammo bag that contains everything a man would need to sustain 24-48 hours of WAR- crampact fulla loaded mags, couple knives, rope, 100mph tape, gloves, spex, NV, lube, dope, condoms, flame, power bars, etc... and then my "range" kit contains targets, stapes, stickers, headsets, spotting, etc.

when the SSGA (Super Secret Government Agency) calls in the middle of the night, as they so often do, to tell me terrorists have kidnapped the president and i have 15 minutes to gear up, i grab my WAR bag. otherwise, i grab both to go to the range.

i would say that every bag i own has a small first aid kit in it.

what's the worst thing that can happen at a range? gun shot wound!

a blow out kit is a minimum for the range.

two years ago my wife got a nice copper jacket in the leg. total freak accident but it still happened. the ricochet missed the benches, two other shooters and me. she was seated 10' directly behind me.

i don't think i'll ever hear the end of it.
