Has there been any testing done on this load? I'm not looking for what the "best" 7.62x39 load is - I know where to find that info. Just wondering about this load specifically. Thanks.

IIRC, we will be testing some before the end of the year.

My local FFL has some, it's 45$ for a box of 20.

I would be curious without threadjacking, if this stuff performs equivalently to your Lapua 125gr SP or Win SuperX 123gr SP recommendations.

Any updates on this? Has 7.62x39 DPX been tested?

Dude, Doc is a busy guy. If he had the data he would have already posted it. Seriously.

Not yet.

Getting range time is a bitch right now...

I hear that. If there is anything I wish I had more of right now, it would be range time.... and ammo....

Thanks for the reply, Doc.

Our tests with a 16" barrel gave us 22" penetration thru 4 layers of denim and 10% ballistic gel with recovered diameters of .65".

Barnes' TSX line of bullets seems to do universally well across the board; I'd have a hard time believing this one would be any different. It certainly would be better than plain old FMJ.

That's a very good point.
