Just ordered a Spikes .22lr upper. One of the options was to get either a Flat Top Gas Block, or a Front Post Sight. What do you experts think?

Thanks.

Well... Do you want a front sight post? I went with no gas block. The .22LR upper doesn't require one. My rail covers the whole barrel (10" Barrel...9" exposed and a 9.75" Spectre rail).

You're right. Not a well framed question.
How bout this:

The post sight from the factiory is "fixed", as I understand it. If you don't order it with the post sight, you then will need to use a scope or Dot sight, correct?

There's my dilemma. I'm new to ARs and have not used a Dot sight. If I don't like this set-up, and there is no post sight, what do you do? Can a post sight be "added" later on.

Thanks again.

I got mine with the front sight...because it was the only one my dealer had at the time!

No matter what option you go with, you can always swap it out later.

Get one with the front sight if you aren't sure. You can always set up a red dot to either co-witness the front sight..or do a lower 1/3 co-witness like I have on some of my rifles. It doesn't get in the way.

If you get the front sight, you could get a Trilux sight like mine.
