If so, how is the quality?

How about the mounting? Is it bomb-proof?

I have the 13" TRX Extreme in stock. Looks really nice. I have not used one yet myself but set one aside to do so once I get the uppers in.

I like the looks of them - but I am still waiting to hear some hands on experiences. Can you chock a firetruck with it, etc.

My 2 - 13" black rails came today on a big brown truck. They look really nice, unfortunately I'm still waiting on the upper receivers to show up.

PS: Extreme must stand for the weight, these rails are extremely light, at least without the accessory rails attached.

Great work Troy Ind.!

Tolson68, given their extreme light weight, do you feel they are just as robust as other rails?

If you stomped on it, would it deform?

Switek,

Doubtful, but I only weigh 180-185. I'm not sure how to even speculate on this one. You might want to contact Troy directly and see if they have a crush weight calculated for it.

They are finished very nicely and they feel sturdy, just light when compared to other rails in the 12"-13.x" range. Keep in mind the TRX Extreme does not have four full rails. There is a great deal more material that has been removed. The TRX Standard would probably be a better apples to apples comparison against the DD, MI and other Troy offerings when it comes to weight and lateral strength. I would be more likely to compare the TRX Extreme to a JP/VTAC or a YHM Smooth sided rail, than to a DD Lite or Troy MRF.

Hope this helps
