View Full Version : how many AR's do you own

UGASeven

I currently have only one complete Rifle, kind of an everyday home defense and range weapon. But I’m building two other’s; One with a spikes 22LR conversion, that way I can use it as a BU or practice rifle and another one as a tack driver. But I have enough parts, that if I got another barrel I could build a fourth. That got me thinking am I just wasting my money on weapons I don’t need?

So how many AR’s do you guys own, and should I build a 4th?

Two, but I need more.

10 stripped lowers, 2.5 completed rifles. :D

Total of two AR's. The first one is a 7.5" SBR and the second is a 16.1" carbine.

I have four doublestar lowers with RRA LPKs, one I made into a 9mm carbine
I also have a RRA Entry Tac with the 2 stage trigger and ACOG TA33, so technically I have 5

Yesterday I received a new BCM Carbine upper and Omega rail:D. Now I just have to decide if I am going to but the BCM with the ACOG on the RRA lower or on one of the doublestars.

My first, an RRA CAR-4, is now unofficially my wife's.

My second is an LMT 16" carbine, my all-around shooter.

My beloved third is an 18" Cardinal Armory upper (now defunct) in 6.8SPC on a RRA lower that is a tackdriver.

And one LMT SOPMOD lower that I have in storage, but I'm sure eventually will end up with a Noveske or Larue upper if I ever move to an SBR-friendly state.

3 complete (Charles Daly, Stag, Bushmaster) and 2 more Charles Daly lowers, 2 DPMS LPK's, 2 Stag tele stock sets, 2 DPMS complete BCG's and will start thinking about what to buy as a hat for those lowers this fall. One should go as a SBR for sure, the other may go the opposite direction as a long barrel groundhog/racoon destroyer. Consider it a back yard sniper build...LOL!

3 complete and 2 more waiting to be built.

Novekse 16.1 Recon
DD M4 Carbine
PD15 piston upper/LMT lower
BCM 11.5 "constructive intent upper"/ LMT lower
Noveske N4 Switchblock 16" upper/ Armalite lower

Hee hee, I love this thread!

Arrington Accuracy DCM rifle
Noveske Afghan Uppers in 6.8 and 556, over Noveske lower
ADC 16in Upper over Rock River lower
LWRC M6A2 16in over LMT lower
Noveske N6 18 inch upper built on DPMS lower

I know that owning all these ARs might not be healthy behavior, but I'm ok with it. My wife is pretty permissive with my AR buying, her only rule is that I not bring them into the bed at night.

Currently two.

A LMT 10.5 SBR on a RRA lower, and a BCM 16" Middy on a Sabre lower.

Now all I need is a 20" just cause and an SPR type. Oh yeah, and a 9mm SBR. And a .22LR. And a .308. And a 6.8SPC....

Jeez. I didn't realize I was so far behind! :D

You gotta have a light weight carbine. You gotta have a varmint. You gotta have a National Match. You gotta have an all-round middy. And, of course, you're stuck with the first rifle you got before the fever set in and you learned all this stuff.

I have the first of three that I am planning on getting.

I have a BCM 16" Middy on a RRA lower now.

SWATcop556
06-04-09, 20:02
I have three. Two SBR's (10.5 LMT over an LMT lower and a 11.5 BCM over a Noveske lower) One Mid-length (BCM over a Noveske lower).

Once Grant gets in his BCM lower pre-orders I'll have a BCM 16 Carbine on it and keep it bone stock just 'cuz.

Crap, I forgot, I also have a Rock River 9mm that I use for shooting steel up close (cheaper than frange), a JP 22 upper, and a Rock River 6.8 upper that I did my first Duracote job on.

Plus 3 Airsofts: ICS M4 14.5, Model 1 CQB model 10 inch, Model 1 HK 416

I love my Airsofts cuz I can shoot them while I cookout and drink beer in the back yard. (yes, I am "green" I shoot biodegradable bb's)

Yes, my neighbors do hate me. :D

I have 6 AR's. I have 3 Natoinal Match rifles, that I have built. 2 precision AR that I have built and a Carbine that I built. I'm getting ready for another carbine, this one is going to be a 6.8 SPC, just for the fun of it. I'm also looking at a Mark 12 Mod 0 SPR build soon. I love the dang things, the only other rifle that I like as much is my old M1 Garand, it's just too fun to shoot!

First post guys, as most I lurked for a while and joined up last night. I have four and a lower in progress. Three Noveske's and an LWRC the Lower is a Mega
1) 16" Low Pro Recce with TA31ECOS
2) 18" Stainless /switchblock not a complete rifle, built up a stripped lower for it
3) 14.5" N4 Light w/ pinned Surefire
4) 16" M6a2 LWRC with Comp M3

I am infected with the BRD fairly bad I think.

like this:
2) Colt 6520 LE
1) Colt 6721 LE
1) Colt 6920 LE
1) Colt AR15A2...M16A2 kit on 6920 lower
1) CMMG M4A1
1) Bushie M4
1) Bushie A2 rifle fluted HBAR 20"
1) Bushie XM177E2 11.5"
1) Colt M16A1 on Bushie lower
1) ArmaLite A2 Middy
1) Rock River "frankengat" AR made of whatever was lying around, but very close
to Colt 6536 CHiP carbine
Number thirteen will be a carbine built on a Roggio lower, gotta try it out in spite
of the issues
Number fourteen will be a Colt 6921LE and I freeking can't wait !!
