View Full Version : Pinning a Larue Gas Block

In an effort to make my rifle more reliable, I'd like to get my Larue gas block pinned. A few questions...

Is it possible?
Has anyone had it done?
Who did it for you?
How much did it cost?
Can the block be removed easily enough down the road?
And last, but never least, any pics of the work?

Thanks in advance...

I've had it done by Adco.

They charge $25, the same as you would pay to have a FS permanently pinned because it's exactly the same job.

Drill/ Pin/ Small tack weld over pin.

I think Noveske also does it as an option on his uppers, but he charges more.

Is Noveske pinning Larue's or just his own blocks?

When I got mine done he was only pinning LaRue's, but that was before Noveske released there own LPGB.

I see Noveske is now pinning his for $30 extra which isn't bad. It used to be something like $75.
