If the op is smart he got together with Aimpoint and arranged to get it back where it belongs and maybe he is helping get the original dirt bag that sold it.

I'd bet Aimpoint would look very favorably on him if he were to help.

I have no idea but I would do something along those lines.

hopefully the situation is that staff has decided deleting the thread, and all mentions of said thread, are in the best interest of the OP of that thread.

hmm.. perhaps the thread about the guy who had his m16 BCG confiscated by an ATF agent who just happened to be in the gun store at the same time he picked up his 6920 dissapeared the same way? i was looking forward to following that thread.
