Insight introduced a new Micro Red Dot sight

so there is yet another option in this newly crowded category.
While it looks good, the price seems.....rather steep....
what do you think?

For a retail price of $650, they can keep it.

I'll agree with those who say they are awfully expensive, but I do see some important features that have been lacking in mini red dots(that is if we exclude the aipoint micros). Finally someone put in manual dot intensity(do any other MRDs have that?) and some decent waterproofing. So I think it has a few important improvements other than the price.
Biggest improvement I see is click adjustable elevation and windage. I had a mini RDS once and I hated the zeroing screws with the screw locks. Whenever I thought it was zeroed, tightening the locking screws threw the adjustments off and I had to start over. After an aggravating day at the range, I put it back in the box and bought a regular tube RDS sight with click adjustments.
The minis have their place as backup sights for magnified optics or maybe for slide mounting on a pistol, but not as a primary. Aimpoint really nailed it with their micro series, the only issue is the price. If a competitor is not significantly cheaper than the Aimpoint, there really is no point.

Top-access battery compartment and 4 settings of manual dot brightness doesn't justify $300 more than the Trijicon version. To me at least.
I met with the Insight folks on this, what was it last week. Seems like a good unit, although the team I was meeting with had no ideal what the retail was. They thought the price point was about the same as the Micro. They also had a nice mount for it and have spent quite abit of time on the development. I saw the first one at least a year ago.

Still attempting to get one from them to run though..... we will see, for now I have T-1s.
I'm sure the Insight Red dot is good but I would rather stick with my Aimpoint...
not for that price w/o a mount
