500+ yard ranges near Des Moines?

Just thought I'd check and see if anyone knows of a facility. I'm only familiar with my 100 yard range options and a couple of my cousin's farm fields with some fairly decent long range areas. Wouldn't mind finding a group or organization to go shooting with while I'm home for a couple of weeks.

Check with Brownells in Montezuma, Iowa. Still a little ways away from you, but not too far. Not sure if its a 500 yarder or not but its supposed to be sweet.

Theres a 1000 range in Pella Iowa. Never been there. Shouldn't be to hard to find out something about it from your place.

11Bravo speaks the truth, Van Meter is THE rifle range around just outside West Des Moines. I was a member until just this year when I moved away. 600 yards if you want it. Don't share the keys though, they are not very accepting of that.
