Does any one know if the Magazine Feed Lips Gauge covered by Patent 7117626 has been produced? If so, are they available commercially?

I haven’t been able to find any information regarding production/availability on line and it certainly would be useful for those forced by legislation to use only “pre-ban” high capacity magazines.

Regards.

Those fine folks in Boulder, (Magpul) incorporated a feed lip gauge in their magazine covers for the newer model Pmags.

I've gauged out some older mags that all run fine and their feedlips are well outside of spec. They still shoot however.

I want to know to as well. The best method Ive found so far is having a NIW GI mag for comparison. Of course all mags should be tested before real world application.

The Samson Field Survivor AR-15 Tool Kit has the built-in magazine feed lip gauge, though a bit pricey if one is simply wanting the gauge as a stand alone.
