Sorry if this has been covered before:

1) For barrel length, am I stuck with the length I put on the Form 1?
2) My first build will be a 10.5; since I don't have an upper yet, what would be the OAL when installed on an LMT w/standard collapsible stock?

Thanks
Chris

You can put any length you like on it after it's registered.

It's about 27.5" OAL (stock extended, it's how they measure it!).

Thanks. One last question: I tried to make copies of the notarized forms but the raised stamp doesn't show up, will ATF have a problem with this?

TIA,
Chris

They didn't with mine, you couldn't see it at all on the copy of the Certification of Trust I sent them.

You do have to send in proof of citizenship forms, correct? Where do I get my hands on those? I'll be filling out a Form1 as a Trust...

http://www.titleii.com/Forms.htm has all of the forms as pdfs. you can fill in the blanks and print them with everything all nice and legible.

They don't seem to have the Certificate of Citizenship but according to people on TOS, they didn't send them in with their RLT'd Form1s anyway.

Thanks for the info though- that's where my Form1 is coming from...

Do you guys suggest engraving THEN filling out the form and sending it in? There was a discussion regarding the "intelligence" of going this route in case something bad should happen while engraving or in transit.

What do you think?

Even if it's not required to do the Certificate of Compliance what would it hurt? It's not like the CoC will delay you or something, not having it could delay you. Some examiners might be more sticklers than other ones.

Also have the engraving do before sending off your paperwork, that way it's already done when you get it back approved.

It's the 5330.20, right? It turns out Titleii.com had those in pdf so I am all set.

You had me worried I was losing my mind for a moment. I was sure I'd gotten all of the forms from that site.

Is there an engraver in NoVA?
