As many of you know, I have a thing for single stack 9mm pistols (https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=23997&highlight=3953).

I recently got a good deal on a Sig P6 and I thought I would put more money into it than what I paid. :D

I must admit that I am NOT a Sig fan, but I really like this weapon (especially for concealed carry).

We had the work done by Customized Creationz (http://www.customizedcreationz.com/firearms/sigservicesandparts.html) and found the owner VERY easy to deal with and got a fast turn around (thank you very much).

What was done:

1. Customized Creationz Solid Short Trigger
2. P6 Feed Ramp Fix
3. Stage 2 Reliability Action Work
4. Cut/re-shape hammer
5. Cerakote in Sig Black
6. Polish the barrel
7. Heinie Straight 8's installed

Onto the pics.....

It shoots well. What matters most though is that my wife likes it! ;)

Did ya get ride of the factory 24 lbs mainspring? A Wolff 18lbs sure improved mine.

Good looking gun.

Great looking gun........

.......now go put the butt of the P6 against the butt of a P228 or P229 and compare the thickness.....:D

Nice gun, Grant! Does the altered hammer have any effect on reliability?

P6s are sweet! Nice work on this one: nothing to take away from the simplicity.
We had a few in the early 80s and they were indeed a pleasure to carry.

Very nice! My buddy has a 6904 he always raves about. I've shot it quite a few times when we went out shooting. Accurate, comfortable, and reliable.

Very nice. A P225 was my CC piece for years until the ban sunset and I could get cheaper P228 mags again. THEN I rediscovered the Glock 19...:D

Nice pistola!

Have you found a good and relatively-inexpensive source for mags?

Although I don't shoot mine much anymore, I can't convience myself to get rid of my P225. This is my 4th P225 but I got this one from my Dad.

Serious may have a point, mags may be getting hard to find.

A friend that is a member of this board is looking to buy a P6 as a gift for his pastor. One thing that is a potential hold up is the availibility of good (i.e., NOT Pro-Mag) magazines.

Wow!!! Great looking pistol! I myself just picked up a P6 two weeks ago. I also want to put some money into it. I'm thinking of going the NP3 route on mine since I have a P225 in black. It will be a nice contrast. Thanks for the pics, I just learned this morning that Heinie made sights for Sigs. I was kinda curious as to how they would look on a P6.

Once again great looking pistol, shoot her in good health!

What are your thoughts on a Kahr 9mm's?

Thanks and enjoy your P6!

I am not a Kahr fan so you are asking the wrong guy.

What is difference between a P6 and a P225.

Just the rollmarks. Mechanically, they are identical.

Grant,

If you don't mind me asking..... How long ago was your pistol at CustomizedCreationz? Recently?

P6/225s are sweet carry guns, and this specimen is pretty cool Grant.

One of the best shooters I've met uses one as a carry gun.

I have a 225 gathering dust. Is there an inherent design flaw in the feed ramp?

They typically do not like 147gr ammo.
