View Full Version : Do I buy the CZ 452 or 453?
453 has a set trigger, 452 doesn't.
$100 difference.
Anybody with real experience want to weigh in?

I have a 452 Silhouette & did quite a bit of research B4 purchasing it - it seems most 453 owners I've talked to would buy a 452 if they had to do it all over again. The 453 trigger ain't what its cracked up to be & the standard 452 trigger is quite good. Plus there are aftermarket 452 triggers available for less than the price difference.
On the plus side ALL the CZ 22 boltguns are great & beat anything at twice the price in my book.
I ordered a American 452 with heavy barrel, no iron sights. I'll post a range report in a few weeks when it arrives and I have time to shake it out.
I have no experience with 453s. But, he 452s I shot have been great. If you get one with a not so great trigger feel, just be patient. I shot one that wasn't very good at first, but got crisp after a little bit of shooting (maybe several hundred rounds). I shot another that was excellent right out of the box.
I hope this helps.

I saw that you just ordered a 452 on another thread. Nice choice!

I have a 452, and love it. Shoots great. You can play around with the trigger on a 452. I think your limited on the 453. But check over at rimfire central.com. Lots of info there
