MOE vs CTR stocks?

Are there any real differences between these 2 types of stocks, aside from the lock? Is the lock even all that necessary? The price is the biggest issue for me, and also finding an OD green MOE stock, MIAD PG, & MOE HGs.

The lock and a QD swivel attachment are the differences. My MOE locks up tight.

I've got the MOE...Like it alot...don't think much of the extra lock on the CTR, but the slot for the sling mount is ok....Question is: does it justify the price difference? I guess the answer is subjective but when I bought mine, the CTRs were out of stock and I was a little impatient.

I bought the CTR to replace a commercial stock that rattled pretty badly. The lock did seem to zero out any movement in the stock so it helped in my situation. I also like having the qd sling mount as an option.

FWIW: The Commercial CTR will clamp down on a Mil-Spec receiver extension, with no wobble/wiggle/or worming. Not that I would recommend doing that, but it's interesting to note that I've been able to pull it off in a pinch.
