Is there any reason to avoid buying one manufacturer's bolt and mounting it in another manufacturer's carrier, or is one always better off buying a single manufacturer's complete BCG?

Specifically, FN bolt in a semi-auto LMT carrier and a BCM bolt also in a semi-auto LMT carrier vs two SA LMT BCG's?

I'm only interested in operational reliability issues - please disregard any cost differences. Thank you.

If the bolt rotates on the cam pin as it should and headspaces correctly there are no issues, the parts should all be in spec and from reliable sources such as those you named.

I like staying with the same mfg for all parts but you don't have to.

there is such thing as tolerance stacking, and somehow ending up with a non functional gun, but that is why I stick to one mfg for all parts.

Shouldn't be any issues as long as you are using quality parts. Those you listed should be fine. I prefer to just buy the whole BCG with a new rifle and replace the bolt as necessary. I have yet to see a carrier fail although I'm sure it has occurred.
