Anyone here spent some time with the new Colt/Umarex "M4s"?

My local FFL got some in and I did a search and mostly just found press release stuff. To a noob like me they seem interesting for practicing the fundamentals on the cheap.

IMHO,
They are not worth the money! You are better off getting a dedicated upper with the correct twist for the 22 LR. Or you can get the parts to modify an existing upper which has a too quick of a twist for the .22 lr. Your choice. The last choice is the cheapest way to go.

After doing some more research I have to agree with you. I ended up passing on it - maybe I'll get a Spike's upper after I save some money.
