Can't wait to see them in an unemployment line, Jan. 2011. Bet some of the folks THERE will look forward to meeting up with them, too...

So, it's not enough that our credit is likely to be downgraded because of the stimulus packages. It's not bad enough that we are on our way to bankrupting ourselves with added spending and government health care. Now, we have to castrate ourselves by undermining our economy through "cap and trade."

This is rapidly going beyond incompetence and into the realm of high crimes and misdemeanors.

You mean treason right? "high crimes" sounds fancy and all, but treason is . . .. . what we have been witness to.

Have you seen the states they come from?

Do you know how those states voted in the last election?

Do you know how the caucus system works?

Even if you succeed, do you think it's going to be a Republican in their place? What happens then? I'll tell you what happens, you're double-screwed and you've helped screw yourself.

It may interest you to know that a Congressman's job is to serve his CONSTITUENTS' interests, not yours. They are not there to tow your party line, unless you happen to be their constituent. They're probably gone anyway since Republicans don't exist in those places anymore, but with a caucus system this is really bad for us.

The term of art is "cutting off your nose to spite your face" is appropriate.

Let us just hope that our Senate has more sense than did the House!

I have written to my states Senator's already...of course I am sure that Claire McCaskill will vote as she always does...with her brain being absent and right across party lines.

Unless you're like us here in PA - stuck with Speckturd and Borat's twin brother in the Senate, who pointedly exist to serve themselves...

While this is more or less true, I still find it appropriate to weigh in with my opinions, even if I am not a direct constituent. After all, many if not most of their votes have an impact on me no matter where I live. It's not like I WON'T be paying more just because I live outside of Mary Bono's district.

Also, I would let it be known that you ("you" meaning anybody) would support a viable alternate candidate in a primary fight.

My point was that given their districts the chances of US voting them out of office are pretty slim since I'm guessing most people here don't live in uber-liberal stomping grounds like they do.

On the contrary they're very vulnerable exactly due to the uber-liberal element in their districts and the current climate. Their districts have changed electorally. They will be voted out by the uber-liberal and replaced with an uber-liberal Democrat. There is no viable alternate candidate in those districts.

What do you think is going to happen to your agenda? Ironically you may get your wish.

It seems most of the people here (DE) will vote Mike Castle in without knowing how he votes. I think the Repubs vote for him because that's all they have. I think the Dems vote for him because he usually votes like one. I agree with Glenn Beck I'm voting againt every SOB that voted for this bill even if he runs against the anti-Christ.
