I've always left my SKS rifles more or less bone stock. These days, though, I am thinking about swapping out the basic stock (mine is non-lam.) for something with better ergos and perhaps a bit lighter/tougher.

I know about several of the major offerings from Ram-Line and Fiberforce, but I have never had a chance to try one or even handle one. It's easy enough to whistle up something from the interwebs, but that'd be a sight unseen kinda deal. So, I wonder if you guys have had good luck with any particular brand/model..?

I am looking for a better pistol grip (the conventional kind) but I'd be open to something with a Dragunov style setup too.

I've had luck with the cheapo ChiCom fiberglass "jungle" stocks. Tho, a 9 dollar stock does take some work to last/look good, but then I love to tinker. Ill usually wrap the wrist of the stock with some light glass matting and smear cheap 2 part epoxy over it, after that cures for a day I use krylon spray anti slip coating, then paint to taste. I end up having about 20-25 bucks wrapped up in them.

If you add a pistol grip, just make sure you do not run afoul of 922r compliance.

I have no first hand experiences with bullpup sks conversions but I have found some good reviews for the highready bullpup conversion.
I do believe you have to call highready about there conversions and send them you rifle for the conversion.

I started out with this and have since replaced it. It is still around and I might part with it. You would have to check your 922r though.

Now I have this by Tapco (Some call it Crapco) 6 position stock.
