Guys,

I just noticed that the LMT upper I bought NIB off of gunbroker a month or so ago has an ejection port cover that doesn't quite fit right. The forward top edge of it does not come in contact with the upper receiver when it's closed. The gap is small (around 1.5 millimeters) but it is a gap.

This thing's been sitting standby while I've been getting the other parts together for the build project....so I didn't look at it that closely.

Would you guys swap the cover out?

Leave it alone?

If it otherwise functions normal, just leave it.

I've been seeing this exact shit alot lately. I have an upper (non BCM) ordered from bravo that's a little out of whack. If it gets bumped it pops open. And I got a complete upper from Talon Arms a while back with a similar sloppy port pin hole problem.

I'm guessing these are CMT uppers, but who knows? It's irritating and sloppy, but they're functional enough that it's not worth the hastle to return any of it.

(reason #253 to just buy a Colt)

I have the opposite problem. A4 upper I just got won't close. Detent hits above

ramp and can't be forced. This lack of quality control really burns me when ordering

parts.
