I was going to purchase the TD PR4, as it seemed to be the best solution, but since I've discovered the Noveske end plate I'm no longer sure.

The Noveske end plate will not allow the swivel to make a complete rotation, which is good as it will prevent the sling from twisting excessively. Does the PR4 also prevent the complete rotation of the swivel?

So, what do you gents think?

These are two totally different units. The TD is one added to an existing installed RET and has a side mounted PB QR swivel. The Noveske is a replacement endplate and sticks the PB QR swivel in line underneath instead of to the side.

Which style fits your needs best? Buy that one.

Also, Daniel Defense makes both styles and their add on like the TD is less expensive

The PR4 also prevents the swivel from making a complete rotation. But like Eguns said, these are two different animals really but both work well.

I believe there was another thread about these units in the not too distant past. You might do a search.

For what it's worth I use the DDX2 and the NoveskeX2. With the Noveske and a single point sling you can still totally collapse the stock. With the DD you generally can't, if that's important to you. If I was buying then I would go Noveske, but I won't replace my factory DD's.

I have the Noveske and it works great, the stock fully collapses and the swivel fits tight.
