Hey everyone,

I found a pic of these Knights Rail Panels that have been "lightened" and look pretty cool. I enjoy customizing some things and this could be a pretty cool project to try and imitate.

For those of you who know about tools and doing jobs on plastics.....what would you use to cut these type of holes?

I think Martin who used to work for KAC did these so maybe Kevin can chime in about what tools were used.

those look cool but i dont really see what purpose they serve, that couldnt have saved that much weight.

i wish i had that much spare time on my hands lol

Those panels are done with a typical milling machine, or any knee mill. Chuck up an end mill, and start milling. The only part that requires any "thinking/figuring" at all, is the spacing, which I'm sure was quite easy with a DRO (Digital Read Out) on the mill...
