I am looking for a small pouch to attach to the front of a Grayman knife so that I could carry a firestarter kit and some sharpening stuff.
Here is a pic of the sheath -

It is just over 3.5" wide.
I am looking for something that the top closes without a gap so nothing falls out and want a velcro closure. I have found a couple of pouches, but they were snap type and not velcro.

The Maxpedition Barnacle or Anemone look to be just the ticket.

Thanks for the reply, but I am looking for something smaller and simpler.
Something like this -

But with a velcro flap that won't leave a gap at the top.

That might be a tall order. Every pouch that I have ever seen with a flap like that has gaps on the sides.
I'll keep looking.
this might work

Kind of an odd location for a firestarting kit, mixed with fighting gear "outside". If you have enough time to build a fire, then you have enough time to drop the ruck and fish gear out of it.

If I go camping the knife would go on the outside of the pack and the pouch would be right there with the knife so there would be no fishing through the gear.
