I saw this at AIM and thought it was a good price...

I know DSA is mostly known for their FALs - anyone use this? Is it actually mil-spec? Is it well made? Do RE really matter?

When most people refer to receiver extensions being "mil-spec" they are only referring to the diameter of the tube.

The cheaper "mil-spec dimension" tubes use cheaper materials or processes. 6061 aluminum costs less than 7075 and is easier to work with. 7075 is more expensive but has almost twice the tensile strength.

That's the info I needed. Thanks!

Bought two of these and proceeded to mash the threads with the end plate. Pretty sure I overtorqued the castle nut, but they will still work. Is it 40 inch pounds for the castle nut? Sure I used about 15-20 ft pounds with the all-in-one wrench. I should know better...
