Lake City ammo

I dunno anything about the different types of Lake City ammo. I only know the local Gander Mountain has a bahzillion 20rd boxes of 5.56 for close to $15. What's a good price for the stuff? Sorry I didn't look to see what gr it was.

If that's $15 per 20 rounds of 55 gr FMJ, passing on it would be a good choice. God damn this caliber is getting expensive...

Thanks, it being Gander Mountain I automatically presumed it was high. Figured I'd check here to be sure. That and the fact it was a huge display that looked untouched was kinda fishy. I'll keep an eye on it if they drop the price.

Given got into the shooting thing fairly late and ammo is scarce in the Tampa area (where it does exist, it's expensive), I had to suck it up and pay exactly that price for a few boxes of Q3131A1 in Wal-Mart that I had the fortune of walking up to while they were literally stocking the shelves. Even with the restriction on how many boxes you could buy, it sold out in under a half hour. :(

The only place I've seen M193, XM193, or anything related to 193-type ammo for less than $15 per box has been online. When it's in stock, that is.
