Does anyone here have any experience with the STI Duty One in 45 ACP?

If I can sell a Colt that is sitting in the back of my safe then I may try to pick one up. Looking for any feedback.

I have a STI Edge and love it. Just out of curiosity, what do you see in the STI that you don't in the colt?

A rail...

I want a light attached to my gun and I've had some issues recently with the Dawson design.

I have nothing against STI guns but at or around that price point I personally would be looking towards one of the Springfield Operator guns or a used Les Baer TR Special that could be fit with a Dawson rail.

As for the Dawson rail... you should have no worries, issues, or reservations with the part so long as it is properly affixed to the pistol and the light adapters are correctly fit to the light. If done correctly the Dawson rail provides a very stable and solid platform to mount a light.
