Flip-up Lens Covers, Yea or Nay?

Received a new CompM4 today and have been examining my options w/regards to lens covers (it came w/both the bikini cover & a pair of flipups).
What's the preferred setup for CompM4/s users, flipups or just the bikini covers and why? Thx!...

yeah, i like the flip up covers. i dont use the cover for the ocular lens, but i do use one for the objective lens


i've never used the clear covers before.

I have the flip up covers on my leupold and I love them. Keeps the glass a lot cleaner.

I like the idea, but leave them off due to pulling the rifle out of the bag and putting it straight to use. One less thing that I have to worry about when it's go time. All I do is pull the rifle out, charge it and I'm ready for action. Of course, I carry mine for work use on the road.

I use flip up covers on all my optics. I don't see much disadvantage, other than being slightly slower to deploy.

I definitely don't like bikini covers - I don't want to have to keep track of covers - since the flip ups stay attached, you can't lose them.
