I've been a proud owner of a Noveske N4 Carbine (14.5" w pinned vortex) for a little over a year now. During this time I've made a few modifications in the following order
Fiber Optic Red Front Sight post
Magpul Enhanced trigger guard
Magpul MIAD with B2 backstrap
Magpul MOE stock
DD Omega 7 Rail System
ACOG TA31F
Also has a Bullet Button and 10 round C-Products magazine to make this rifle legal for CA.
The N4 was cleaned after every range session with MPro7, bore snake and chamber stars and relubed with Weapon Shield CLP. I have fired about 1200 rounds combined of PMC Bronze, 5.56 Surplus, Q1313 or Q3131 (Always mix that one up) Privi 62 Gr and TAP 75GR. Additionally its fired over 500 rounds of .22LR through my 22 conversion kit using metal and Black Dog Machine Magazines. (The kit did have failures after the false chamber got gummed up with too much waxy material from shooting Remington Gold bullets. This was resolved by cleaning out the chamber on the kit, a little polish and switching to CCI Blazer)
1200 rounds isn't much in a year compared to what some folks shoot in a day or a weekend but for a range rifle I am pretty happy with it.
The rifle has experience ZERO malfunctions and only suffered a few failure to feeds with the .22LR conversion kit (stated above)
