As I recall, Montana's original plan included challenging any such fed response in court. I'm pretty sure they knew from the get-go they'd have to battle it out in the courts.

More states should enact similar legislation and also reject federal money.

We had a Civil War over states rights once, we'll have to see if modern state leaders have the balls their ancestors did. If these cases go to court and the states lose then what are they willing to do about it?

I hate the phrase 'states rights'.

Individuals have rights. Governmental entities have powers.

This is not about rights, it is about the Constitutional division of powers.

Anything not related to foreign policy, collection and administration of federal taxes, and energy policy should be left to the States.

The big government has trampled over the States and the Constitution for decades, it is about time that they get reigned in and put in their place.

For some reason I don't think they'll go quietly, regardless of what the courts and States say.
