hey everyone, i did a search on some 1911 forums and didnt turn up much so i figured i would post this question here. does anyone know where i can pick up a good quality 1911 barrel that has threads on it to mount either a gemtech or awc .45 cal suppressor?
edit: mods feel free to move this thread if i placed it in the wrong part of the forum.
If you're willing to spend this much, check out Barsto (http://www.barsto.com/category_main.cfm?ID=GV&cco=24).
I've got an unused one from Storm Lake that is sitting in a parts box.

I shot a suppressed 1911 a few weekends back. It had a jarvis drop-in barrel.
If you want excellent quality, Barsto is the way to go but you will probably have to wait. Also, good 1911 barrels are not drop-in, they really need to be fitted by someone who knows what they are doing. barsto offers this as a service.

I purchased a Stormlake barrel and have been very impressed. I have purchased other barsto barrels and they were great too, but the wait for them is very long.
The Stormlake barrel was only 2-3 weeks wait, my last barsto was 8-9 months.
As mentioned, Jarvis is also an option, but my next 1911 barrel will be a Stormlake.
