I posted this to another maker and was told they were not interested as they do have the resources at this time. Then I remembered Magpul had ladder rail covers too...
"With the popularity of the Aimpoint T-1 and other scopes and accessories that are using the C2032 wafer batteries, I thought of this.
The short (5 slot) ladder type rail guard could be formed with a round compartment on top with a snap or threaded (maybe just quarter turn to unlock) cap that could house those flat batteries. The cap would need to be captive through a lanyard design.
This would make it easy to carry a spare and could snap anywhere onto a M1913 rail like the space between a forward mounted T-1 and the BUIS.
I ll take the idea out in product!:D
