Colt M4 (14.5") barrel gas port size?

Is it the same size on their 6920's?? I was thinking of having one cut down to 14.5" but was a little worried that the gas port would need to be opened. I know this has been adressed somewhere, I just can not find it. Thanks

Yes, Colts I have seen are the same in both M4s. 14.5" and 16"
