View Full Version : Covering stainless
I've got a Browning Pro-9 and love it, except that when the sights are aligned there is a sliver of stainless visible at the bottom of the front sight. This is simply the slide showing. I would like to find a matte black finish that could cover the top of the slide, as long as the distance between dovetails and as wide as the dovetails. Any ideas on what would work?

Duracoat should work just fine. I've done several older complete Glock slides and they look more like the newer Glocks finish, not a matte but not hi-gloss either. You could also bead blast the top of the slide and end up with a matte finish.

dave sams (VA) offers a blackened stainless finish option, pics here: http://www.louderthanwords.us/forum/...ened+stainless
my guess is the duracoat mentioned above is less costly...
