Airman 1st Class Colton Read went to the Base hospital for a gall bladder procedure and lost both legs in the process. Keep in mind that this is a aberration and we (military medicine) strive very hard to take care of our service members. My concern is that families will not be able to get compensation if we have government health care for all. Service members are not allowed to sue the government and the courts tend not to side with the citizen versus the government. If the Federal government takes over health care, who will take responsibility when these things happen?
