OK, I'm pretty much sold on trying one of the SS scopes. Most of my shooting will be done @ 200 yards, but I do have limited access to 300 & 600 ranges. I'm looking at their 16x model, but question if I should go ahead and get their 20x. I'll mainly be pokeing holes in paper, trying to out do my buddies, nothing real formal. Let me know your opinions, and I hope to hear from other SS owners.
Thanks.

My opinion is stick with 10x or 20x, as it makes mildot calculations easier.

I don't own a Super Sniper yet, but I think the 10x would be my choice for your shooting desires.

If you were going for the longer ranges (around 600 yards most of the time) I would say 20x.

This will be the route I go when I buy new glass for my Savage 10FP, .308

First off let me say i love the Super Sniper scope! Mine is on a Remington mod.700 Varmint in .223 cal. when i bought the scope i selected the 16x,i wish i had gone with the 20x instead.the 16x is fine but the extra power could only help. I have shot lots of groups at 200 yds. with it off the bipod and it is a pretty much consistant 3/4" at 200 yds. rifle. My longest praire dog kill was just under 500 yds. with it.The scope tracks perfectly and i have had no issues with it.

I've heard some say that the reticle on the 20x is too large, and covers too much of the target at closer ranges (ie. 100 yards). Any truth to this? Thanks for the responses guys. I ordered a set of Max50 - Badger Ordnance 30mm rings from Midway on Monday (pretty decent price). The gun is an AR platform with a SS 18" Kreiger 1/7.5 twist with midlength gas system that John Holliger at WOA hooked me up with. All I want to do is put my buddies to shame, nothing else.:D

Go with a 10x42 SS . Last time I went shooting before I got my bolt action stick:D I obeserved 3 other's with SS scope's making shots out to 1K yd's which had me impressed.

The $299.99 price tag wasnt bad either.
