I just got back from shooting my new Colt LE Carbine and had to take a picture of this. I probably couldn't do this again to save my life.

I think I'm going to get it framed. Here are the details:

Distance lasered to target: 167 yards

Zeroed rifle at 15 meters, re-checked windage at 50 yards, practicing adjusting point of aim with this zero setting.

Fired approimately 40 rds through the gun and let it cool off for about 1 1/2 hours and tried a cold bore shot at a random distance.

Fired one shot, at a random distance that lasered 167 yards

Shot was fired using iron sights on a carbine-length gas system (using small peep sight). I was shooting from a bench of course.

And best of all, I have a witness, and he is a preacher to top that!!! I should have played the lottery today!

Wow!!! What a shot! Although I'm more impressed that you could see the target at 167 yds. with iron sights than the actual shot itself ;). My 48 yr. old eyes sure couldn't.

I never have liked you goodoleboy. Wait...I don't even know you,...but I'm sure I wouldn't like you if I did!!
Kidding aside, not much can match a great day at the range, and YOU oughta know!

Hadn't had a day at the range that can beat that since I got out of the Army.

Anyway, even a bad day at the range beats a good day at work.:D:D

At least you quit while you were ahead. That's how it's done.

At 167 yds, your rifle should be shooting less than 2" groups, with standard ammo.

So while the shot is good.... and a little lucky.

NOT a shot of a lifetime there bro;)

That may be true but c'mon, let 'em enjoy it, it was a great shot

I remember when i was exstatic because I shot a 1" group or less at 50yds w/ Irons or that i can kill clays at 100 w/ irons

That was a great shot man!

Reminds me of the first time I fired a 12ga shotgun as a kid. It was a contest at the Parris Island ranges. Only 2 pellets hit the target, but 1 was dead center in the bull. Won a turkey as a 12 yr old novice.

Sounds like great memories.
