I have a post-ban DSA FAL (with the integrated muzzle brake) that lost it's optic to another rifle.

I want to just use this rifle the old fasioned way, with irons. However, I find the rear sight of the FAL to be utterly horrible ... I feel like I am looking down a tube.

I like DSA's "para" sight, you can even get it with tritium:

My current rear sight is like this:

Anyone have any experience with swapping these out? Will it even fit?

I really know very little about my FAL, and want to start learning more and shooting it more. But that rear sight it terrible IMO.

Thanks.

If I remember correctly, you can take the hood off that site your currently have. Unless of course you have a bit of money to burn, those Trit's would be nice.

No problem swapping the standard rear for a Para rear, the dovetail is the same.

Thanks for the reply ... I assume I can just tap out the sight with a brass punch? Or do I need a hydraulic press? :)

EDIT - I'm a moron. I see the two screws on the sides now. :)

I have a little to burn ... I've spent all my money the last few years on my AR's and the FAL is feeling neglected. It's time to show it some love.

If I get them, the tritium will be what I get, I think.
