I know it's damned near impossible for these media figures to wrap their head around life outside of a pampered, Cleopatra-like existence, but it's there.

Also notice that talking heads tell on themselves when they state, "I have friends and family who are members of the NRA".

I don't appreciate how a law-abiding citizen, is railroaded, and the allusion is presented that the individual is lumped in with Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley, etc. Again, the media is unable to, either through a sinister agenda, or through their total disconnect from reality, differentiate between typical, law-abiding, freedom-loving, Republic-supporting Americans, and the bad guys. Possibly in their eyes, law-abiding, freedom-loving, Republic-supporting Americans ARE the bad guys...

Matthews is aggressive and clearly biased. I'd like to punch him in his mouth. He did his best to trip up the guy but he didn't.

I'd like to punch him in his mouth.

That's mild compared to Zell Miller's challenge to a duel.

I'm with you on this one LL. Matthews is clearly trying to make the guy out to be a gun-totting maniac.

I give the dude a lot of credit for not losing his cool.

Chris Matthews is just another Opinion-Peddler with a microphone. I personally, don't appreciate a media that attempts to tell me how to feel/think/react to an item of news, rather than just reporting fact.

What a bunch of jokers.

I hadn't heard of that until now. Nicely done by Zell. I believe he means it too :D

I think the problem with going on a show like this is that you get no where !

its like someone coming on this forum and telling us that gun are bad and they kill children and innocent people and anyone that carries is insane and a danger to society !

the lefties like him and his listeners will not be bent

while he did fine for what he was up against ! we just give them something and get nothing

jut my thoughts
would be better to let him post his little video and lie about how he was there to see obama etc. when he was no where close to obama and would not be allowed carrying !

let them hang themselves

Wow, I didn't think I could possibly hate Chris Matthews any more, but now I think I do.

How the f*** does that liberal dipshit sit there and talk about "our Republic"? He wouldn't understand the concept of a Republic if Ben Franklin himself explained it to him.

I thought the guy did a really good job, considering that he was up against a media pit bull. He kept his cool and answered questions directly. The one thing I would have said when Matthews asked about what he thought about Obama, I would have said that he didn't send a quiver up my leg.

I think open carry there was a little distracting from the healthcare issue, but I understand. He could have skipped the mall ninja thigh holster.

Liked how he got his dig in about busing in people from MA and their attempt at socialized medicine that is not working well.

Probably for it's retention properties more than anything.

I think he held up well to Chris Mathews aggressive questioning.

I think that he would have been better served with a poster that didn't relate specifically to armed revolt against tyranny. I can see how people that equate the presence of a firearm with violence could take offense to that combination and how it could imply a threat.

Then again, I think that may have been the point he was making. The fact that he was carrying a gun does not mean he's violent or evil.

He did very well. Here's another video when it was first reported that there was a protester with a firearm:

Their first reaction is to fly off the ****ing handle like there are fireballs falling from the heavens. OH MY GOD, A CITIZEN WITH A FIREARM!!! Yet these same dimwits don't think twice about the hundreds or thousands of other citizens who pilot 2500lb guided missiles within feet of them all day long.

Yep, Matthews tried to whip up some hysteria and portray the guy as some kind of extremist, nice to see it didn't work.

Funny how he wants a single negative connotation associated with guns but embraces the notion that there are all kinds of socialism...even benevolent socialism.

zOMG he called our nation a Republic!!! Sorry, I am used to them saying democracy.

I have never seen that anchorhead before, and to be honest I think he needs to lay off the stimulants. He is way to manic.

As for the guying carrying, big deal. He was protecting himself and within the law. He was not out to kill somebody. People trying to make much a do about nothing. I bet that guy could have dinner with Obama with his gun on his hip and nothing bad would ever ever ever happen. Unless of course somebody popped up at that dinner to blast everybody in the restaurant, and then the guy would be some kind of super hero.

I wish his response to assbags question about "what happens when somebody has a gun around the president"

response should have been" the president is ALWAYS surrounded by guns, many of them being MACHINE GUNS!!"

Elsewhere on the 'net I commented:

It is more likely that the left will assassinate him (refering to Obama) and use it as an excuse to put the final touches on securing the States as a one party system. Assassins are such a left wing thing John Wilkes Booth wasn't a Republican. Charles J. Guiteau wasn't a Republican. Leon Czolgosz, you guessed it not a Republican. Lee Harvey Oswald so far left he'd get along well with Obama. Gee, not a single right winger has assasinated a United States President.

I am glad Kostric did as well as he did in what was obviously a hostile interview.

I like the Jim Halpert-esque faces he makes at the camera after Matthew's loaded questions.

You and me both, El Duderino. Unfortunately, I don't have the patience to wait in that line :)

Or, " Same thing that happens when people drive big fast cars and really big , powerful trucks around the President -- nothing. A 9mm handgun is relatively puny , as mechanical devices go".
I think that it's a sign of progress that law enforcement authorities did no over-react during this situation. And I'm no fan of the "Open Carry Movement ".
Just saying ...

I've been avoiding watching not wanting to get riled up, but this got me to watch it :D The guy did hold is own pretty well for an average dude!

Meanwhile, as someone whose main exposure to Chris Matthews is through impressions of him on SNL....Holy crap...mere words cannot describe Chris Matthews. To paint him as a maggot feeding upon a cankerous genital wart festering on the bloody gaping rectum of the rotting corpse of a meth-additcted gay male prostitute found buried in a landfill in New Jersey would be generous.

That humble man did a superb job against the utterly obnoxious, brainless liberal windbag. He was well versed and well informed.

I think he made MSNBC overall look stupid and I bet they regret putting him on.

Kind of reminds me of back in the day when people used to say "I'm not prejudiced, I know a black person" just before then contradicted them self with their next sentence.
