My local Gander Mountain recently received what looked to me
to be a tractor-trailer load of Black Hills .223 77gr, 68gr and 55 gr red box
match hps.
I've already purchased some of the 68gr. I planned on picking up several
boxes of 77gr.
Anything I should be careful of? I've never shot this bullet weight/length
before. Any precautions I should take? Possible feed problems? It will be shot through a Colt 6920, Colt 6920upper/S&W lower and/or my Charles Daly M4LE.

Its mainly for defense/TSHTF stash, but I do want to shoot some of it.
Thanks for any input.

Your Colt 6920 is the perfect rifle for the heavier 77gr ammo. You shouldn't have any problems at all, and this ammo is some of the best made.
You should only have concern when using cheap ammo, in cheap rifles.

you shouldn't have any problems with the 77 gr rounds, especially from BH, thier ammo is top notch.
Take this for what it's worth, the Marine Corps shooting team uses 77gr moly coated rounds for up to 300 yards. I'm not an ammo expert, but it seemed to me that these shoot a bit flatter than 55 gr rounds.
And I've run some through an LWRC and a budget rifle I pieced together without any issues
