Just curious, why'd you chop the FSB if you only put a 7" rail on?

I had the 7" rail put on when I got the upper. At that time, I was running an Aimpoint in a LaRue mount, which gives a lower 1/3 cowitness. With the ACOG, the fixed FSB is a blurry mess in the sight picture. A few minutes with a dremel and some flat black paint and voila, nice clear sight picture through the ACOG. ;)
