SWR Trident is a nice can but some prefer smaller lighter on a deticated handgun can. Evo9 by AAC seems to have a big following.

-If money is no object and you want a top notch can look at the new Ti-Rant by AAC. It has some really impressive number...and a price to go with it.

The Ti-Rant isn't what Costa had down at PWSA though, correct? I handled it, but I didn' read the markings.

No it was Evo9. Not sure if it was the "new-er" core or not.

That is a huge mistake. Where are you getting a barrel in 1/2-28 threads?

13.5x1LH is the industry standard for 9mm pistols and factory SIG barrels can be obtained in this thread pattern.

Gemtech Multi Mount is a very versatile 9mm can.

I got the barrel coming 1/2 x28
there are a few out and sig did a limited run in 9mm

You are making a mistake.

1/2-28 threads are inferior. They have no O ring support.

They are also not a hedge against a possible threaded barrel pistol importation ban as these are not the factory threads and would not be covered under warranty.

I've got a SWR Trident and use it on a Glock 19 (with 1/2x28 threaded barrel), a 4.5" Colt 9mm AR15 upper (also 1/2x28), and a M11 with Lage upper. The Trident is a great can and performs well on all.

I've got a Gemtech MultiMount that I use for similar applications (G17, with 1/2x28 threaded barrel, 9" 9mm AR and M-11/9 with 3-lug barrels) and have been impressed with it. A friend has an SWR Trident he swears by; I've shot it on his guns and mine, and it worked well too. In fact, his can inspired me to get mine, but my dealer had the Gemtech in stock so I went that way instead of with the SWR.

IMO, the Trident and MultiMount are very similar in terms of size/weight, quality and performance; I don't think you could go wrong with either.
