I realize that the whole fore grip issue has been discussed ad nauseam, so here's the question. Would attaching a sling mount such as http://www.knightarmco.com/shop2/index.php?productID=308 or this http://store.troyind.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SMOU-COM-00BT-00

as a secondary sling attachment point and have a secondary function as a hand stop to index you hand on the rail be legal??

I usually use a single point sling on a single point mount using a receiver end plate adapted to such.

To answer your question, the KAC handstop is a perfectly legal sling mounting/rail indexing option for your AR pistol...
