I have the opportunity to get a few vest on the cheap, but I have never heard of them. The company is Survival Armor (http://www.survivalarmor.com/index.php). The vest are the Pheonix (http://www.survivalarmor.com/productdetails.php?product_id=9) and Paragon models. Both are soft IIIA vests. The only description of the armor itself is that it is made from Teijin TwaronŽ fibers.

I Googled Teijin TwaronŽ fibers (http://www.teijinaramid.com/smartsite.dws?id=90), but I can't figure out if these vest contain laminates, or if they are all woven Twaron. The vest themselves are much thinner and more flexible than the five-year-old all woven Twaron vest I am currently using, which makes me suspect they are using laminates.

DocGKR (or anyone else who may know), have you heard of this company at all? Any ideas from the description alone?

Thanks.
