anyone have any experience with these? good? how did the 1:7 twist affect sub 62 grain rounds? im considering building an spr-ish rifle and found some in stock for a decent price.

i have a medium 16" WOA that'll fire 45gr SAAMI near ~1.15-1.25MOA, and under MOA with various other loads, and a WOA SPR that shoots ~1.0MOA with xm193 (55gr) and sub with various other loads..

WOA makes good stuff

wow, sounds good. yeah the one i was looking at was the 18''. are the ones you have all 1:7? i know thats what many manufacturers tend to use for competition barrels because of the use of heavy loads.

also, any experience with their custom service?

thanks for the info

no experience with their custom services- I imagine they do good work though. I've had multiple conversations with the owner, and he seems straight up. Stands behind his work.

yep, all 1/7

I had one of their 18" barrels that I got from ADCO. It shot lights out using Prvi 55gr, which was a little surprising. I was only at 50yds, but still...the ammo itself should have had more deviation than I was getting.

It also shot 75gr TAP into 1.5" (+/- 0.5") without much effort on my end @ 100yds.

oddly enough, the 75gr TAP doesn't do any better than about 1.5-1.7 out of either my Noveske SPR or WOA SPR barrels.. regular ol xm193 actually shoots better groups through both.

That particular barrel did not like 69gr SMK, shot it in to 2"+...but could turn around an put 55gr M193 in to less than an inch at 50yds.

Some barrels don't like some ammo. Sometimes the ammo is suspect too.

I'm waiting on an 18" SPR (rifle gas length) barrel from White Oak Armament. I ordered at the beginning of July and they quoted me 20 WEEKS, it's been 8 weeks since I placed the order. They're always good at answering my questions either by email or by phone.

Rainierarms just showed a few days ago that they currently have the WOA midlength gas length barrels in stock.

yea, the rifle-gas part will hang up that endeavor. the middy's are often in stock at rainier- thats where i got mine, sometime last year.

they had some rifle length ones in about a week ago. the rainier barrels, which are also supposed to be good, should be in in two months they said
